Squeeze-In Goodies

Jolly good fun, concertinas, what?

Talent Show recordings

Saturday night at the Squeeze in there's a talent show which show-cases everyone at all skill and musical interests: from a kid playing Clementine to Klezmer to a Telemann duet to self-composed rags to a Broadway show-tune from 1901 (would you believe that's where "Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum" comes from?) to  "Irish Eyes are Shining" to folk songs from the 1500s to a Hurdy Gurdy to tangos to........

The Squeeze-In Mailing Lists

NESI now has two Yahoo mailing lists, one for news and announcements (Squeeze-In News), the other for everybody to talk about the Squeeze-In (SI-Talk).

SQUEEZE-IN NEWS:  A mailing list that the organizers will use to send out announcements about NESI. There are very, very few messages that you will get from si-news...it's just "official" messages: information about the next Squeeze-In, notification afterwards of when the Talent Night recording is available and the like.  There are about 6-10 messages a year.  So you don't need to worry about your mailbox filling up with junk from this list. You cannot send messages to the group, since it's more like a newsletter than  a discussion forum.  For the latter there is.................

SI-TALK:  A discussion forum that anyone can join. Its purpose is to provide a place for people to exchange information and talk about what they'd like to see at NESI.  There are resources on the Yahoo website relative to the Squeeze-In that you can access. If you sign up for this list, you'll probably get more messages.  Still the squeezers on this list have been thoughtful with their messages: this year it looks like the message count will be around 50 messages, and most of those were just before NESI with questions from newcomers and answers/suggestions from old-timers.

Please send a note to contact@squeeze-in.org if you wish to subscribe to either or both of these mailing lists. More details here
